The fail-safe storage of used nuclear fuel rods is crucial to the health, safety, and overall well-being of our communities.
Dickerson Infrastructure has broad and extensive experience building the infrastructure needed to safely store these sensitive materials. In fact, we constructed Florida’s first dry storage facility, and went on to build all three in the state—completing over 630,000 man-hours with no lost time due to accidents or injuries.
Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI)
Dickerson Infrastructure completed the civil construction as well as construction of the concrete pad for the independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI), the vehicle barrier system and the security operations center located within the protected area (PA) at a nuclear power plant.
